Sondra Radcliffe

Sondra is a trailblazing female executive at a Fortune 50 company. She is the author of her own story and has forged a path that is uniquely her own. Sondra credits her success to a lot of grit and a growth mindset. She believes in choosing courage over comfort, working hard and persevering through the pivots. Sondra worked full-time while pursuing her undergraduate degree, law degree and MBA. She became a mother for the first time two weeks after she graduated law school and six weeks before she took (and passed) the bar exam.

Sondra has had a successful career as an attorney at an Am Law 100 firm, as in-house counsel for a Fortune 50 company and as a business executive. She has been recognized twice by the San Diego Daily Transcript as a Top Young Attorney in San Diego. She was also a finalist for San Diego Metro Magazine’s Women Who Rock award and the Arizona Corporate Counsel Award. Sondra was also selected by the Collins Aerospace senior leadership team as 1 of 60 women for the WILL RISE program, hand-picked for advancement in P&L roles to meet Raytheon Technologies’ commitment to gender parity in senior leadership roles by 2030.

Bio

Sondra has had a successful career as an attorney at an Am Law 100 firm, as in-house counsel for a Fortune 50 company and as a business executive.

Sondra Radcliffe is currently the general manager for a commercial aerospace manufacturing company where she is responsible for leading a global business with operations in the United States, Germany, India and the Philippines. As General Manager of the Oxygen & PSU business at Collins Aerospace Sondra has full strategic, operational, and P&L responsibility and leads a team of roughly 700 engineering, manufacturing, project management and product assembly employees located in 5 global sites.

Sondra joined Collins Aerospace in 2013 and has held a variety of roles including Senior Director of the Program Management Office where she was responsible for designing and implementing robust program management processes to ensure effective portfolio management, business priority alignment and execution excellence. 
Sondra also spearheaded a business transformation project to integrate and align the business management processes across the Interiors business following the acquisition of Rockwell Collins and BE Aerospace. 

Prior to that Sondra held multiple roles of increasing responsibility within the legal group. In her last roll as Associate General Counsel, Sondra led the legal and contracts group for the Interiors, Actuation & Propeller Systems business, with ~7,000 employees and operations at 22 sites across eight countries.

Before joining Collins Aerospace Sondra was an attorney with two national firms where her practice included corporate, business and employment litigation. She worked on a variety of substantive class action cases including unfair business practices, shareholder claims and alleged SEC violations from reverse mergers, product liability, and consumer litigation.
Sondra also taught Contemporary Business Law at the University of Phoenix and served as the Business Development Analyst for beverage distributor Mesa Distributing Co. where she forecasted sales and inventory projections based on trends and performance goals, and identified and pursued new business opportunities in line with business strategies.

Sondra holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Master of Business Administration from the University of San Diego, Calif., as well a Juris Doctor from the University of San Diego School of Law. In addition, she participated in the Emerging Leaders Executive Education Program with the University of Virginia Darden School of Business in Singapore.

Sondra currently resides in Phoenix, Arizona with her husband and four children.

Board Qualification

Sondra is qualified to advise and serve on the Corporate Governance Committee of a company board looking to create and execute on a comprehensive growth strategy while maturing business management processes. 

She currently serve as an executive committee officer on the board of the Arizona Manufacturing Council (AMC), a non-profit organization where she is responsible for board composition, as well as decision-making and management of the larger board.
